A women's forum was held in Kostanai on this topic. The event was organized by the akimat of Kostanay region with the support of the National Commission for Women's Affairs and Family-Demographic Policy under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The agenda of the forum included the strengthening of current relations between the border areas of Kazakhstan and Russia and the formation of new ones, the development of tourism in the border areas, the expansion of business relations between businesswomen in the border rural areas, and other relevant issues. The meeting was attended by 250 representatives of state bodies representing the Korgan, Orynbor, and Chelyabinsk regions of the Russian Federation, as well as the Akmola, Aktobe, Karaganda, Kostanay, and North Kazakhstan regions of the country, quasi-state sectors, and business circles in the border areas of the two countries.

Work on improving the conditions of Kazakh businessmen of regions bordering Russia is being actively conducted. Economic cooperation between entrepreneurs of neighboring countries creates an opportunity to give an additional impetus to the development of their national economies and raise the standard of living of citizens. In this process, the role of women entrepreneurs who manage 500 thousand small and medium business facilities is not small. In his speech, the head of the region Archimed Mukhambetov noted that according to the results of 2017, the trade turnover between the Kostanay region and the Russian Federation exceeded 1 billion US dollars. This is 30 percent more than in 2016. "Entrepreneurs in small and medium-sized businesses have a great contribution to the development of the region's economy. If 49,619 business entities are registered in the region, 23,449 of them, i.e. 47.3 percent, are managed by sensitive people," said A. Mukhambetov.

Sessions on various topics were held within the framework of the forum. The participants discussed new opportunities and prospects for the implementation of joint projects. width="100%"/>
