Relatives and acquaintances of convicts continue to try to deliver prohibited substances to penitentiary institutions. Such activities pose a significant threat to security in prisons and disrupt order in colonies.

As a result of delivery efforts in the first three months of 2025:

* 7,623 kg of drugs,

* 40,61 liters of alcohol,

* 393,590 tenge in cash.

KAZ officers are actively monitoring and patrolling adjacent territories. During this period, 79 citizens who tried to hand over prohibited items were arrested. Among them, 31 citizens were brought to administrative responsibility, and a criminal case was initiated against 11 people for illegally preparing, processing, buying, storing, transporting and selling narcotics.

In addition, two accidents involving the use of drones to deliver prohibited substances to the colony of Atyrau city were registered. Recently, the staff of the Criminal Investigation Department tried to deliver a prohibited substance to one of the penitentiary institutions of Astana. A woman who came for a long meeting with her husband packed 200 grams of drugs in a plastic bag and hid them in her underwear.
