Karagandy police arrested a suspect in the Akmola region
A suspect in the robbery crime that occurred in the summer of 2023 in the city of Karagandy was arrested in the Akmola region. During the incident, an unknown man snatched a bag containing 250 thousand tenge and a mobile phone from the hands of an 84-year-old pensioner. Although urgent search measures were taken immediately, it was not possible to trace the criminal in the first stage. However, the officers of the Oktyabr police department continued their search and found out that the suspect is a 31-year-old resident of Akmola region. He moved from one farmer to another and hid in the winter fields. In the middle of March, despite the bad weather, Karagandy law enforcement officers captured the suspect. During the investigation, he confessed to the crime and said that he spent the stolen money and sold the phone. Currently, the investigation is ongoing. Police officers are determining whether the detained citizen is involved in other similar crimes.
