Citizens who have reached the age of 18 can purchase signal and blank weapons without a permit only from the supplying legal entities (hereinafter referred to as gun stores) after presenting a certificate of no criminal record, details of mental rehabilitation centers and a certificate of completion of the training program for owners and users of civilian weapons. In accordance with the requirements of Article 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure of the Republic of Kazakhstan, liability for illegal storage, carrying and transfer of signal and loose weapons has been introduced. In this regard, according to the current legislation, citizens should voluntarily hand over all their unregistered signal and empty weapons to the internal affairs bodies," said Askhat Kulbayev, head of the Administrative Police Department of Almaty PD.
