As part of preparation for floods, "Kazsushar" branch of Kostanay region carried out repair works in Upper-Tobyl, Karatomar and Amangel reservoirs. This was announced by branch director Dauren Abdikhamitov at the site of the Regional Communications Service.

Currently, project-estimate documentation is being developed for the large-scale reconstruction of the Upper-Tobyl reservoir and the Albarboget dam in the Zhangeldin district of Kostanay region.

From March 20, flood water began to enter the Upper-Tobyl reservoir. Today, 42 million cubic meters of water have been collected. The water reservoir is 76% full.

39 million cubic meters of water entered the Karatomar reservoir. The facility is 57% full. Before the start of the irrigation season, it is planned to send water in the amount of 6-8 cubic meters per second according to the demand of farmers. In general, the situation in the facilities of the "Kazsushar" branch in the Kostanay region is stable and under constant control," said branch director Dauren Abdikhamitov.
