Kapan Mukanov was born on January 17, 1928 in the place "Kotan Shi" along the sand. He was 13 years old in 1941 when the Great Patriotic War began. From that time, he worked day and night on the collective farm.  He sowed seeds on the ground, sowed crops, used plows for camels and oxen and plowed the land. He collected the products from the harvest and delivered them to the grain reception point in Shalkar city with camel carts. At the same time, in the summer, they mowed the grass, raked the mowed grass, made soup, and transported it to the bazaars. Livestock drinking wells were dug by hand and the animals were watered by hand.                                Even the work performed by the equipment was done by hand for 4 years. In recognition of his meritorious service during the war, he was awarded the title "veteran of the rear" of the first category, and was awarded the war veteran's medal.                                   Until January 1942, he studied 7th grade, and from that January to September 1950, he worked as a collective farmer at the kolkhoz of village No. 8 "Kyzyltu". From September 1950 to April 1955, he worked as the secretary of village council No. 8 "Alghabas". From April 1955 to May 1964, he worked as the manager of sheep, cow and horse farms in the collective farm "Kyzyltu" of village council No. 8. From May of that year to May of 1965, he was the accountant of the tractor team at farm No. 3. From May 1965 to October 1991, he worked as a construction accountant at Janakonys State Farm, and in the last 3-4 years, he also worked as a manager of the central warehouse.  He was awarded with 40-50-60-65-70 anniversary medals for the end of the Great Patriotic War, the Labor Veteran medal and the "War Veteran" badge.
