One of the main initiatives proposed by the leadership of the Ministry of Tourism and Sports is to give regional akimats the authority to build tourism infrastructure in areas outside settlements, including national parks. Currently, necessary amendments to the legislation are being considered in the Parliament. A separate budget program aimed at financing infrastructure construction in tourist destinations will be developed. At the same time, in order to give priority to the development of tourism in the regions, it is necessary to consider the creation of separate tourism administrations along with the new competence. Currently, only five regions have separate administrations, and two more regions are being worked on," noted Minister of Tourism and Sports Yerbol Myrzabosynov.
