Reporting Corruption Offenses

A person who has information about a planned, ongoing, or completed corruption offense shall report it to their immediate superior and/or the management of the state body or organization where they are employed, and/or to the authorized state authorities.
The immediate superior, the management of the state body or organization, and the authorized state authorities are obliged to take appropriate measures in response to the reported corruption offense in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
A person who reports a corruption offense or otherwise assists (or has assisted) in combating corruption is entitled to state protection in accordance with the Criminal Procedure Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Labour Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan "On State Protection of Persons Involved in Criminal Proceedings", and the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan "On Combating Corruption", and may be rewarded in accordance with the procedure established by the authorized anti-corruption authority.
Assistance in Combating Corruption Includes:
- reporting a corruption offense;
- providing information on the whereabouts of a person wanted for committing a corruption offense;
- providing any other assistance that has (or subsequently proves to have) significance for the detection, prevention, suppression, disclosure, or investigation of a corruption offense.
