Agreements worth 317 million US dollars were signed at the Kazakh-Afghan business Forum in Almaty

On October 22, 2024, the second Kazakh-Afghan Business Forum was held in Almaty, following which 23 documents on trade and economic cooperation were signed for a total of 317.6 million US dollars. The event was attended by more than 300 delegates from Kazakhstan and Afghanistan.
B2B meetings were held within the framework of the forum, where new areas of cooperation were discussed. Among the signed agreements, six Kazakhstani companies have signed contracts with the Afghan side for the supply of flour and grain, the total amount of which will amount to more than 37 million US dollars.
In addition, memoranda on the supply of grain products worth $ 179 million were signed. Contracts were also signed for the supply of rapeseed, sunflower and soybeans, which will strengthen economic ties and open up new business opportunities for both countries.
