A resident of Shakhtinsk will answer to the court for a fraud in the amount of 37 million tenge
The investigation of a criminal case against a 35-year-old resident of Shakhtinsk, suspected of committing a large-scale fraud in the Karagandy region, has been completed. According to the investigation, the suspect invented a criminal scheme because he was addicted to games on the stock market and did not have a stable source of income. Taking advantage of his trusting relationship with his acquaintances, he fraudulently embezzled the funds of 11 people. The total amount of damage was more than 37 million tenge. The suspect promised investors that investing in his "successful" projects would bring high profits. In some cases, he changed the way he cheated, and by asking for money to buy shelter or medicine, he created pity and gained trust. Victims of fraud noticed that the promised dividends did not arrive and turned to the police. As a result of the complex investigation, the law enforcement officers collected all the materials proving the guilt of the suspect in 11 cases of fraud. Currently, the case is sent to court. The suspect may be sentenced to long-term imprisonment, as well as confiscation of fraudulently obtained property.
