The Minister of Investments and Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan Zhenis Kasymbek introduced the modern quality infrastructure system, which consists of directions in the field of technical regulation and standardization, metrology, accreditation and conformity assessment, as well as state control.

The work of improving the technical regulation system consists of 2 stages. In 2018, the Ministry plans to improve the system of standardization, metrology, and accreditation.

As the second stage, in 2018-2020, the improvement of the field of state control and conformity assessment is considered. Within the framework of the mentioned Law, the national standardization body - a single operator of standardization processes working through automated systems is defined. The central role in the new approach will be given to technical committees on standardization - dialogue platforms for discussing national standards according to the principle of "state-business-consumer", - said Zhenis Kasymbek.

The Minister also announced that by making amendments to the Law "On Ensuring the Unit of Measurement", it will be considered to carry out an inspection of the calibration of standards and measuring instruments in the field of metrology, and the introduction of new methods of state metrological control.

In 2018, a single In order to create a market supervision system, the concept of the draft law "On introducing changes and additions to some legislative acts on technical regulation issues" will be prepared.

In addition, Zhenis Kasymbek spoke about the structural system of interconnected elements of technical regulation within the Eurasian Economic Union. 46 technical regulations of the Union, which regulate 85% of all products, set single mandatory requirements.

We remind you that the Technical Regulation and Metrology Committee of the Ministry of Investments and Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan is working on the integration of information systems with EurazEO in order to form a Unified Register of documents for confirmation of EAEU conformity through a national gateway.
