According to Mereke Pishembaev, the chairman of the Committee of Roads of the IDM of the Republic of Kazakhstan, this year, construction continues in the Temirtau-Karagandy section of the Central-South project, including the road bypassing Karagady. Also, according to the Central-East project, construction works are underway on highways with a total length of 1.2 thousand kilometers in the sections of Astana-Pavlodar-Semei-Kalbatau and Beineu-Aktau, Aktobe-Atyrau, Kapshagai-Taldykorgan, Astana-Petropavl, Ural-Kamenka sections.

In addition to transitional projects, the length of 511 kilometers was financed by budget funds. Implementation of 6 projects such as Beineu-Akzhigit, Shchuchinsk-Zerendi, Taskesken-Bakhti, Usharal-Dostyk, Osinovsky Pass, Kostanai-Denisovka has been started. Among them, it is planned to reconstruct 4.4 thousand km of roads for medium repair and carry out major repair works for 800 km of roads," said M. Pishembaev.

Next year, the Astana-Pavlodar section of the Central-Eastern Corridor, the Temirtau-Karagandy section, the Ural-Kamenka highway leading to Saratov, and the Taskesken-Bakhti sections are planned to be completed this year.

Work on the creation of a toll road system has begun in Astana-Temirtau, Almaty-Kapshagai and Almaty-Khorgas sections. Its planned annual collection is 4 bln. will amount to tenge.

By 2020, the total annual income from the toll road will be 30 bln. There is a plan to reach tenge. In general, according to the results of the conducted work, it is planned to improve 90% of highways of republican importance, to increase the share of highways of I and II-technical category to 50%. This allows to increase cargo transportation by 2 times and reduce travel time by 1.5 times.

According to Dmitry Potlov, Deputy Chairman of the Transport Committee of the Republic of Kazakhstan IDM, in November 2017, the construction of the second road with a total length of 112.37 km was completed on the Almaty-Shu section. The implementation of the project increased the capacity of the section from 17 to 68 pairs of trains per day and made it possible to reduce the travel time of the train by 1.5 times. a railway ferry terminal carrying tons of cargo was launched. Since the beginning of operations (since March of this year), about 1.3 million tons of cargo has been handled. Currently, 2 million per year. This year, within the framework of the industrialization day held on December 6, the car ferry terminal in Kuryk port was tested. It is planned to complete the construction of the 2nd stage facilities in 2018. On May 30, 2017, the new railway station complex "Nurly Zhol" was put into operation. The new station complex serves 52 trains. Among them are 16 high-speed "Tulpar-Talgo", 22 and 14 suburban electric trains.

On average, 16 pairs of trains pass per day, and 20 pairs of trains on weekends. In general, the capacity of the new station is up to 35 thousand passengers per day. Both stations can serve 47 thousand passengers per day.
