Seven Kazakhstani teams will travel to Houston, USA, for the World Robotics FIRST Championship, the most prestigious competition in the field of school engineering. There are also Karaganda residents among them.

The youngest participant from our country is 6 years old, the press service of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan reports.

This year's championship brought together 50,000 young engineers and inventors from 110 countries. The theme of the 2025 season was the exploration and protection of the underwater world.

— Our teams are the favorites of the season. We really hope that Kazakhstan's piggy bank will be replenished with high awards and victories," said Asylbek Murzakhmetov, head of the USTEM Foundation.

The national team of Kazakhstan was formed following the results of the Central Asian championship Almaty Tech Cup. The country is represented by: Atlantis — Saturn School, Pavlodar; PID — Nazarbayev Intellectual School of Chemistry and Biology, Almaty; Cristabol - Nazarbayev Intellectual School of Physics and Mathematics, Almaty; Skillset — Skillset School, Astana; JelToqSun and Rasslexx — Murager School, Karaganda.

Kazakhstan is the current three—time FIRST GLOBAL robotics world champion among more than 190 countries (Geneva (2022), Singapore (2023), Athens (2024).
