While on duty, servicemen of military unit 5512 of the National Guard of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan noticed a Volkswagen Golf on fire on Sagadat Nurmagambetov Street in Pavlodar.

The senior of the patrol group, Private Ernur Amankul, immediately reported the incident to the duty officer and called emergency service 101. He towed the vehicle to a safe area and used a fire extinguisher to put out the fire before rescuers arrived.

“The driver seemed to be in shock. He stood confused in front of the burning vehicle. I immediately took the extinguisher from the trunk and started to fight the fire. Then I disconnected the battery. We quickly cordoned off the area to ensure the safety of bystanders,” — said Private Ernur Amankul, commander of the patrol group.

Thanks to the swift and coordinated actions of the guardsmen, the fire was successfully extinguished with no injuries reported. Their professional response helped prevent potentially serious consequences.

The driver expressed sincere gratitude to the guardsmen for their timely assistance.
