On the International Day for the Protection of Monuments and Historical Sites on April 18, the Ridder Museum of Local Lore hosted a traditional Presentation Festival, this year it is dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory.
Pupils of 11 schools in the city and students of Ridder College told about Kazakhstani and foreign monuments reflecting the crimes of Nazism and the immortal feat of Soviet soldiers-liberators in the Great Patriotic War. The story of monuments and memorials, such as the 28 Panfilov heroes, Mamayev Kurgan, Khatyn, Buchenwald, and others, left no one indifferent. Before defending the presentation at the museum, the students delivered it at their educational institution during class hours and history lessons.
