Applications are accepted and licenses are issued through «the electronic government» web portal www.egov.kz, «the E-licensing» State Database IS, http://internal.elicense.kz.

Territorial departments of the State Revenue Committee of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan for regions, the cities of Astana, Almaty and Shymkent issue licenses for the storage, wholesale and retail sale of alcoholic beverages (issuance period - no later than 1 (one) working day).

Rates of the license fee for issuing a license for the storage and retail sale of alcoholic beverages in the capital, cities of republican and regional significance – 100 MCI;

in cities of district significance and villages – 70 MCI;

in rural settlements – 30 MCI.

The license fee rate for issuing a license for the storage and wholesale of alcoholic beverages is – 200 MCI.

List of documents:

- application in the form of an electronic document;

- electronic copy of the document confirming payment of the license fee to the budget;

- an electronic copy of the lease or gratuitous use agreement for warehouse premises (for wholesale distributors), stationary premises (for retail distributors), used for purposes other than permanent residence, located outside the buildings and on the territories of healthcare organizations, education, physical education and health, sports and sports-technical facilities, gas stations, trade markets, cultural and leisure organizations on the right of ownership or on the right of temporary possession (use), gratuitous use;

- the form of information on qualification requirements is filled out in the form of an electronic document.

For reference: Fee amounts are calculated at established rates and are paid at the location of the fee payer before submitting the relevant documents to the authorized government agency or before obtaining a license (BCC 105402).

Retail sale of alcoholic beverages - the sale of alcoholic beverages for their subsequent consumption or non-commercial use, carried out in stationary premises equipped with a sales area, and on the premises of restaurants, bars and cafes, as well as on passenger aircraft, passenger ships of sea transport, in restaurant cars of passenger trains equipped with a cash register machine with fiscal memory.

Wholesale distribution of alcoholic beverages - release of alcoholic beverages from warehouse premises to the address specified in the license, without volume restrictions
