The opening of the front office of the anti-corruption volunteer project took place today in the community center of the Alatau district of Almaty. The project is being implemented with the support of the Akimat of Almaty and the Department of the Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan for Combating Corruption in Almaty.

The opening ceremony was attended by Kanat Salimbayev, Head of the Prevention Department of the Almaty City Department, active volunteers and members of the public.

During the solemn event, Kanat Asembaevich spoke about the work done within the framework of the project, outlined its main directions, and also gave practical recommendations to the volunteers and wished them success in their endeavors.

"These front offices are an important platform for the formation of an anti-corruption culture among young people and increasing civic responsibility. Volunteers are a new generation capable of changing public consciousness," Kanat Salimbayev said.

It is worth noting that since the beginning of the project, more than 200 volunteers have conducted over 10 seminars, round tables and information meetings in community centers and higher educational institutions in Almaty. As a result of these events, more than 1,000 people were involved. Volunteers actively interact with the population, not only carry out educational work, but also achieve real results.

Thus, since the beginning of the project, facts of purchases at an inflated cost totaling 2.3 billion tenge were revealed, information about which was transmitted to the authorized bodies. This is a clear example of the real contribution of volunteers to the prevention of corruption.

According to the organizers, similar front offices are planned to be opened in all districts of the city in the future. Such an initiative not only increases the activity of young people, but also contributes to the formation of an atmosphere of justice, openness and trust in society.
