In accordance with the 2025 training plan of the National Guard of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, a training-methodological seminar was held in Training Brigade 6654 to enhance the qualifications of mid-level medical personnel of the law enforcement troops.
It is worth noting that the National Guard previously initiated the development and adoption of a Tactical Medicine Protocol and proposed the advancement of telemedicine within the force.
During the training seminar, special emphasis was placed on practical sessions covering epidemiology, first aid, medical support organization, and especially tactical medicine. This area of training has become a key focus in connection with the establishment of the Tactical Medicine Service within the National Guard system in 2025.
The purpose of this new service is to train personnel to provide medical aid in combat conditions.
The practical segment of the tactical medicine training took place at the training center of military unit 6654 with the participation of instructors from the special forces unit "Bürkit." In conditions closely simulating real combat, servicemen practiced emergency care techniques, the application of tourniquets, and methods of transporting and evacuating the wounded.
"Systematic first aid training in extreme conditions helps develop psychological resilience in personnel, enabling them to remain composed and act effectively under stress and combat pressure, which ultimately contributes to reducing combat losses," noted Talgat Sydyrmanov, Head of the Military Medical Department of the National Guard.
In addition to tactical training, the seminar included theoretical and practical sessions on medical supervision of sanitation, handling of pharmaceuticals, organization of medical support during combat duty, sanitation procedures, infection and food poisoning prevention, and first aid for wounds and bleeding.
Such seminars play a critical role in maintaining a high level of medical readiness among National Guard personnel and are a valuable contribution to the health and combat readiness of the troops.
