23 April 2025 Talgat Sharipov, Consul General of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Samarkand met with the leadership of the Department of Agriculture of Samarkand region.

The parties discussed the status and prospects for the development of bilateral cooperation between the regions of Kazakhstan and Samarkand region in the agro-industrial sphere. Special attention was paid to the expansion of direct contacts between producers and consumers of agricultural products.

Consul General proposed to consider the possibility of supplying the Kazakh market with vegetables and fruits, as well as dried fruits produced in Samarkand region.

In turn, deputy head of the Department of Agriculture Ulugbek Aliyev expressed interest in supplying agricultural products from Kazakhstan, including grain, rice, corn, sunflower seeds and others.

As a result of the meeting, an agreement was reached to organise a number of joint activities aimed at increasing mutual supplies of agricultural products between Samarkand region and regions of Kazakhstan.
