Archive of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan took part in the International Conference in Jordan

On April 22-24, 2025, the International Conference "National Libraries and Archives and Their Role in Preserving National Memory in a Changing Digital Environment" was held in Amman, the capital of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. Director of the Archive of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan H.E. Ms. Aliya Mustafina participated in the Conference. The Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Jordan H.E. Mr. Talgat Shaldanbay attended the event's opening ceremony.
H.E. Ms. Aliya Mustafina presented a report on the "Experience of the Archive of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the educational sphere: partnership, projects and prospects". In her report, she emphasized that the Archive actively engages young people in preserving national memory through educational initiatives, including partnerships with universities, holding summer schools, hackathons, Olympiads and competitions for schoolchildren.
During the Conference, the Kazakh delegation met with representatives of the National Library of Jordan, the National Archives of Qatar, and the Royal Hashemite Documentation Center. They discussed promising areas of cooperation, including the digitalization of archival collections, the exchange of professional practices, and the implementation of joint projects.
The Forum, organized by the National Library of Jordan, brought together representatives from more than 15 countries, including Kazakhstan, Algeria, Egypt, Qatar, Malaysia, Oman, Palestine and Saudi Arabia. The central discussion topics were digitalization, legal protection of intellectual resources, the introduction of artificial intelligence technologies, and the role of archival institutions in achieving the UN Sustainable Development Goals and strengthening national identity.
The participation of the Archive of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan in this Conference was an important step in strengthening international humanitarian ties and further developing dialogue in the field of archives.
The Embassy of Kazakhstan in Jordan supported the Kazakh delegation in solving organizational and protocol tasks, contributing to the country's worthy representation at the event.
