Since April 24, more than 800 cadets of the Academy of the National Guard of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan have been working around the clock in four shifts to reinforce dams and construct protective barriers. They were joined by 400 servicemen from military unit 6637, who are also working in shifts.

To date, more than 200,000 sandbags filled with inert materials have been prepared. Notably, the constructed dam now exceeds 2 kilometers in length. These efforts are aimed at ensuring the safety and protection of the residents of the village of Teplichnoye in the North Kazakhstan Region from potential natural disasters.

Among those working tirelessly on site is Academy cadet Timur Kaiyrkhanov, who recently celebrated his 23rd birthday under these extraordinary circumstances. Despite his personal milestone, Timur remained dedicated to his mission, emphasizing its importance: — We understand how vital our help is to the residents. By doing this work, each of us contributes to the common cause of safety, — the guardsman shared.

To support the morale of the personnel, women-servicemembers have organized food and warming stations. This helps maintain the strength and health of the servicemen in the challenging conditions of round-the-clock duty.

The work continues, and the guardsmen remain steadfast in fulfilling their duty to the citizens.
