The international scientific and practical conference "The Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945 in the history of Southern Kazakhstan" was held today at the Turkestan House of Friendship as part of the celebration of the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War. The event was attended by representatives of the field of history and pedagogical science from Uzbekistan, Russia and the cities of Almaty, Shymkent, Karaganda, Uralsk, Turkestan in offline and online format. An exhibition of documents from the Turkestan Regional State Archive "Uly Zhenis-urpak mura, Tarikh tagzym" was presented at the conference. In addition, a presentation of the collection of documents "South Kazakhstan during the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945" was held.

       In addition, the meeting highlighted the importance of celebrating the 80th anniversary of Victory Day in the Great Patriotic War and the great contribution of the Southern region to the Great Victory. In addition, they talked about the courage, heroism and dedication of war veterans and home front workers. The conference also provided information on deepening knowledge about the Great Patriotic War, opening new pages of local history, historical justice and patriotic education.
