On May 4, 2025, in order to popularize chess among political and public figures, deputies of all levels, civil servants and media representatives, as well as to actively participate in the development of the intellectual potential of the Kazakh nation, at the initiative of the Senate of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan with the assistance of the Kazakhstan Chess Federation, the bailiff of the branch of the Interdistrict Territorial Department of Compulsory Execution of Kostanay" Temirlan Nurtazenov took part in the qualifying round of the first Open Cup "Senate Open", organized by Kostanay regional Maslikhat together with the Kazakhstan Chess Federation.
