Stockholm, May 5, 2025 - On the eve of the start of the Ice Hockey World Championship of the year 2025, taking place in Sweden and Denmark, the Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Sweden O. Suleimenov met with the manager of the National Team of Kazakhstan N. Kairbergenova.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the preparation of the team for the tournament, wished the athletes good luck, and expressed confidence in the worthy performance of the national team on the international arena. The Ambassador emphasized the importance of support from fans and diplomatic presence during the participation of the National Team of Kazakhstan in the world championship.

It should be reminded that the National Team of Kazakhstan has already arrived in Sweden, where on the 6th of May it will hold a friendly match against the team of Slovenia. On the 7th of May, the Kazakh team will depart to Herning (Denmark), where it will take part in the group stage of the world championship.

The Ice Hockey World Championship will take place from the 9th to the 25th of May in the year 2025. Within the framework of the group stage in Herning, the National Team of Kazakhstan will play against the national teams of Norway, Germany, Hungary, Denmark, Czech Republic, United States of America, and Switzerland.
