Kazakhstan and Lebanon Develop Spiritual Ties

On May 6, Kazakhstan's Ambassador to Beirut Rasul Jumaly met with the Adviser to the President of Lebanon on Human Rights and Dialogue of religions Habib Ephrem. During the conversation, the current  cooperation between the two countries in various fields and future prospects were discussed. Among the topics, the importance of efforts aimed at strengthening confidence and mutual understanding between civilizations was noted. In this context, Habib Ephrem expressed his country's interest in participating in Kazakhstan's initiatives, including, in particular, the Congress of Leaders of World Religions, which is taking place in Astana. In his opinion, both Kazakhstan and Lebanon have extensive historical experience in this area and it is advisable to use it for the benefit of bilateral and multilateral cooperation. In turn, the Ambassador expressed his wishes for Lebanon's speedy recovery from the severe consequences of regional tensions in recent years and confirmed his readiness to facilitate the exchange of information and ensure favorable conditions for the development of bilateral relations.
