Akmola region continues its steady course towards the development of social infrastructure. One of the priorities in 2025 was the construction and modernization of cultural facilities. More than 3.7 billion tenge has been allocated from various sources for these purposes. The work covers both regional centers and rural settlements.
The most ambitious projects are being implemented in the field of new construction. A total of 12 facilities are being built: cultural centers, clubs, leisure centers and museum spaces. The construction of a 400-seat regional house of culture is being completed in Shchuchinsk. According to the Department of Culture, it is planned to put it into operation within a month.
A 300-seat cultural center is being built in Arshaly. The construction is supervised personally by the akim of the region, with a deadline of September 1 this year. Similar activity is observed in the village of Zhibek Zholy, where a large cultural center is due to be completed in June. In both cases, the projects are implemented by companies from Uralsk and Zhetysu.
Of particular interest is the project of the museum, a creative hub in Zerba. This is not just an exhibition space, but a modern platform for the implementation of cultural and creative initiatives. The work has already started, and the completion plan is for 2026.
Large-scale construction projects are also underway in Bulandynsky, Akkol, Burabaysky, and Astrakhan districts. In the village of Nikolskoye, for example, the house of culture is already 60% ready. Work is also in an active phase in Katarkol, Kenesary and Karabulak.
Major and ongoing repairs are an important area. Seven facilities are being renovated, including cultural centers in Urumkai, Sabyndy, Zholymbet and Zhanaesil. The work has been completed in the Yesilsky district, and the club in the village of Anar in Arshalynsky is almost ready. Completion is scheduled for May.
The reconstruction affected the house of culture in the village of Karaozek, Bulandyn district. Dismantling works are currently underway there.
Financing comes from the republican budget, the national Fund and local budgets. Most of the facilities are planned to be completed by the end of the year, some in 2026.
Thus, the cultural map of the Akmola region is rapidly changing. The new institutions will create a space for self-realization, relaxation, creativity and communication. This is an important contribution not only to infrastructure, but also to strengthening identity, patriotism and quality of life.
