Aqaba, May 5, 2025 – As part of the implementation of high-level agreements, Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan H.E. Mr. Talgat Shaldanbay visited the Aqaba Special Economic Zone and Seaport.

During the visit, a meeting was held with the General Director of the Aqaba Company for Ports Operation and Management – H.E. Mr. Mahmoud Khalifat. The parties discussed the port's logistical capabilities, including cargo delivery times, transit routes, multimodal transportation, tariff policies and service conditions.

On the same day, a meeting was held with H.E. Mr. Nayef Al-Fayez, Chief Commissioner of the Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority (ASEZA). The meeting focused on ASEZA's investment priorities, ongoing projects, investors support measures, digital infrastructure development, and strategic plans to improve the transportation and logistics environment.

As a result of the visit, it was agreed to intensify cooperation and explore the possibility of signing a bilateral document between Aqaba Port and one of the ports in Kazakhstan.
