During a working visit to the Samara region, the Akim of the East Kazakhstan region Nurymbet Saktaganov personally presented the commemorative medal "80 Years of Victory in the Great Patriotic War", established by the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, to home front worker Kurma Zheteneva.

Kurma Zheteneva was born on December 15, 1926 in the village of Korobikha, Katon-Karagay district. After finishing primary school, she already worked as a tractor operator. In 1941, she married Zhetenev Zarlykan. She was awarded the "Analyk Danky" order. She gave birth to and raised 10 children. During the Great Patriotic War, she was awarded a medal for valiant labor.

Having presented the medal, Nurymbet Saktaganov congratulated the home front worker on the 80th anniversary of the Victory, noting her selfless contribution to ending the war, emphasizing that it was such people who brought the Great Victory closer not only at the front, but also in the rear. He wished the pensioner good health, longevity and prosperity.
