Preliminary results of the socio-economic development of the country in January-April 2025 according to the estimated data of the National Bureau of Statistics.
According to the results of the four months of this year, GDP growth was 6%. In the main sectors of the economy: transport (22.4%), trade (7%), the rate of development has increased. Growth was also registered in the fields of agriculture (3.9%) and communication (2.6%).

Growth in the transport sector was ensured due to the increase in the volume of cargo transportation services by rail and pipeline, which accounted for 20.5% and 19.6% of the total volume of the industry, respectively. High dynamics were registered in Turkestan (21.8%), Zhambyl (11.2%) and Abay (14.9%) regions.

In the construction sector, the index of real work volume was 16.2%. In addition, taking into account the construction period, it was ordered to ensure the necessary coordination in local areas to increase the pace of work and prevent the increase in the cost of projects. The indicator of wholesale trade increased by 7.4%, and the indicator of retail trade increased by 6.1%. A number of regions: Turkestan region - 60.4% due to enterprises selling fruits, vegetables, pharmaceutical goods; Akmola region - 44% thanks to enterprises selling grain, seeds and animal feed; Shymkent showed a high growth of 19.8% at the expense of enterprises that sell diesel fuel, pharmaceutical goods, ferrous and non-ferrous metal scrap and waste.

In the industry, the production index reached 6.4%. Growth is observed in the mining sector - 7.1%, in particular due to the increase in coal production (11.2%). In the manufacturing industry, the indicator is 7.2%, including food processing (12%), tobacco products (26.3%), production of chemical products (11.2%) and engineering (11.2%).

Agriculture shows positive dynamics. The gross domestic product index was 3.9% in January-April.
The government monitors the qualitative implementation of the tasks of the President to ensure stable social and economic development of the country.
