An international dog show titled “Spring Meetings 2025” was held in Almaty, organized by the OO Elita DOSAAF Kennel Club and featuring a certified expert judge from Poland. The event brought together over 230 dogs and puppies across 28 breeds.

The K9 Center of Military Unit 6654 of the National Guard of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Kazakhstan proudly presented five service dogs, each earning notable awards and affirming the excellence of the military’s canine unit:

  • Scott, a Belgian Malinois handled by Staff Sergeant Shyngys Zholdybayev, took 4th place in the Adult Dogs category and was awarded the prestigious CAC title.

  • Haina, another Malinois under Junior Sergeant Dastan Tuniyazov, earned 4th place in the Junior category with an "excellent" rating and was approved for international breeding.

  • Adams, a Dutch Shepherd trained by 3rd Class Sergeant Berik Duisenyev, placed 3rd, received a CAC title, and became a candidate for international beauty champion and champion of the Elita DOSAAF club.

  • Sheikh, a Belgian Malinois puppy under Sergeant Pavel Grafkin, was named Best of Breed in the Baby class, earning 3rd place and an “excellent” rating.

  • Carla Trip Benasi, a veteran Malinois shown by Sergeant Aleksei Meshkov, achieved a spectacular victory in the Veteran category. She earned champion titles of Kazakhstan and Poland, as well as CAC, CACIB, and Best in Show Veteran among all breeds.

In addition to trophies and certificates, the exhibition marked a major milestone: the K9 Center’s breeding dogs officially received international breeding eligibility within the club’s registry.

- Participation in such events opens new opportunities for the improvement of our Breeding Kennel’s quality and boosts the professional standing of the National Guard’s K9 service, - emphasized Lieutenant Colonel Almir Faylasov, head of the K9 Center.

Events like these not only enhance the image of military units but also demonstrate the high professionalism of military dog handlers and emphasize the critical role of service dogs in maintaining public security and order.
