A solemn event dedicated to the defender of the Fatherland Day was held with the participation of Akim of the district Berik Sarmenbayev. The head of the district congratulated the audience on the holiday and noted the importance of conscientious service to the motherland. - Head of state Kassym – Jomart Tokayev said: "the protection of the Fatherland is a sacred duty and a high duty. Today, we have strengthened the borders of Kazakhstan. The most important task we face is to preserve this peace and stability." In our deep-rooted history, we have a warrior spirit, creative ancestors who spent their lives on horseback and guarded the foundation of the country. The holiday of defenders of the Fatherland is celebrated on the eve of the Great Victory Day. This year marks the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory. How many Kazakhstanis were martyred on the battlefield on the way to this victory. Returning home, the soldiers showed an example of Valiant labor on the Labor front. The older generation coped with the task assigned to them with dignity. Today, 103-year-old Yahya Tasyrov, a veteran of the Great Patriotic War, a respected citizen of the Syrdarya district, is honored in our environment. We owe immeasurably to the older generation, who gave us a peaceful life. I congratulate you on the defender of the Fatherland Day and wish you good health, happiness and peace, prosperity to every family, – said Berik Abdygapparovich. Akim of the district honored a number of Home Front veterans with a festive award "80 years of victory in the Great Patriotic War" and a letter of thanks. In addition, a number of military personnel, citizens working in the field of Defense and in the district were awarded a letter of thanks from the Akim of the district. Head of the Department of defense of Kyzylorda region, Lieutenant Colonel Zhasulan Shankulov presented a special congratulation and a festive gift from the Minister of Defense of the Republic of Kazakhstan Ruslan Zhaksylykov to the veteran of the Great Patriotic War Yahya Tasyrov. The festive event continued with a concert program of artists of the district. Well-known singers of the region and the district sang spirited songs, and young orenders presented military-patriotic performances.
