In honor of the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory, Akim of the district Zhandos Yerkinbek specially visited the homes of home front veterans and congratulated them on the holiday. The veterans were awarded commemorative medals and gifts "80 years of Victory in the Great Patriotic War", issued by Decree of the Head of State.

Among them are 101-year-old "Mother Heroine" Raykhan Ospanova, who worked tirelessly in the rear during the terrible war, "Communications Master" Abdibek Lakbayev, who devoted his youth to education, Umsin Omarova and Isa Bisenov, the only Kazakh who went to the Vietnam War from Kazakhstan.

The head of the district touched upon the life path of veterans and their work in the rear, noting that the moral life of these people is a school of learning for the younger generation.

"Thanks to your hard work, our country has reached a peaceful day. We are deeply indebted to you, to history and to generations," said the akim of the district at a meeting with veterans.

The veterans, in turn, expressed gratitude for the attention and respect, thanked the President and the head of the region. We wish peace and prosperity to our country.
