Tashkent, May 12, 2025 – A meeting was held between the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Republic of Uzbekistan, Beibut Atamkulov, and the Executive Director of the Reconstruction and Development Fund of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shukhrat Vafaev.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the implementation of agreements reached between the Heads of State of Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan following high-level bilateral meetings.

Particular attention was given to the promotion of joint investment projects, including initiatives in such priority areas as geological exploration, development of transport and energy infrastructure, cooperation in food security and biotechnology, expansion of interaction in the metallurgical sector, and stimulation of bilateral trade.

The parties noted the need to deepen coordination between relevant institutions and government agencies in order to improve the effectiveness of current and future projects, and agreed on approaches for further practical advancement of the Kazakhstan–Uzbekistan cooperation agenda.

At the end of the meeting, both sides reaffirmed their mutual commitment to the development of mutually beneficial relations and expressed readiness to expand cooperation in strategically important sectors of the economy.
