Last year, the head of state Kassym-Jomart Tokaev supported the initiative of the members of the organization to establish the National Book Day at the National Congress held in Atyrau, and noted that the desire to read is one of the important values ​​that contribute to the development of society. For this purpose, on the basis of the Resolution of the Government of June 29, 2024, a new holiday - National Book Day, celebrated for the first time on April 23, appeared in Kazakhstan. This famous holiday helps to promote reading among the people. This is an important step towards the cultural and spiritual development of the society, including the youth. We believe that the events organized on April 23 in educational organizations of the district to the National Book Day will allow to raise the book culture of the district to a new level. Competitions, festivals and exhibitions held within the framework of this holiday should increase public interest in books.
