18.05.2025 22:31:46 8271
These changes will come into force from May 1 of this year and do not limit the right of citizens to call for emergency help on the number 103.
Calls in the 4th category of urgency refer to situations that do not pose a direct and potential threat to the patient's life and health, but require medical intervention.
● mobile teams near clinics will work during working hours — from 8:00 to 20:00;
● non-life-threatening urgency Category 4 calls (for example, high blood pressure, temperature, minor injuries) will be redirected to the mobile teams of primary care during working hours of clinics;
● after 20:00 and on weekends, all calls, including category 4, will be served by ambulance teams as before.
According to statistics, more than 50% of emergency calls belong to the 4th category of urgency and are related to the exacerbation of chronic diseases. The changes will allow to optimize the load, reduce waiting time and increase the efficiency of the entire system of public health care.
Now mobile medical and sanitary first aid teams will go out on calls and make planned visits to patients' homes. This allows to provide timely monitoring of the health status of citizens, especially to respond quickly to the deterioration of the condition of patients with chronic diseases. They work at the actual place of arrival, regardless of the patient's place of residence or approval.
If necessary, the mobile teams will be accompanied by specialists of special fields, in particular, children will be helped with the participation of a pediatrician, and adults will be provided with special specialists (cardiologists, neurologists and other doctors) depending on the nature and severity of the patient's condition. This approach provides high quality branded medical care.
