Today the Minister of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan Akmaral Alnazarova came to East Kazakhstan region on a working visit. The first facility within the scope of the visit was the Ust-Kamenogorsk Higher Medical College, which is celebrating its 90th anniversary this year.

During its history, this college has trained more than 55,000 middle-aged medical specialists and made a great contribution to the healthcare sector of the country. Currently, 2,390 students are studying at the educational institution in six specialties: nursing, medicine, midwifery, pharmacy, laboratory diagnostics and stomatology.

In 2023, two new dormitories with 460 seats were built for college students. This significantly improved the conditions of education and living of students. Students are doing work experience in medical institutions in the region, which in turn has a positive effect on their professional training and employment.

The Minister met with teachers and students and discussed the importance of improving the reputation of secondary medical workers, modernizing educational programs, and working professions. These issues are of particular importance if the Head of State declares 2025 as the Year of Working Professions.

"Your life paths have just begun. At this stage, it is very important to pay maximum attention to getting quality education and forming a strong foundation. This is the foundation of your future professional success," said Akmaral Alnazarova, wishing the students success.

During the visit, the minister visited city clinic No. 2, got acquainted with the organization of first aid, visited the offices of general practitioners and talked with medical staff. The minister emphasized the importance of increasing the availability and quality of first aid.

The working trip ended at the construction site of the future Hematology Center, a major infrastructure facility in the city of Ust-Kamenogorsk. The new modern complex consists of several specialized buildings and provides diagnosis and treatment of blood and cardiovascular diseases. Minister Akmaral Alnazarova and Akim Nurymbet Saktaganov discussed the implementation of the project at the construction site. The task now is for the contractor organization to complete the work on time and with high quality. The implementation of this project will expand the scope of specialized medical care not only in the region, but also throughout the country," said the minister.

The project is under special control of the Ministry of Health and the administration of the SKO.
