On March 5, 2025, the Minister of Transport of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Marat Karabayev, met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Finland to Kazakhstan, Janne Heiskanen.
The parties discussed the prospects of bilateral cooperation, paying special attention to the issues of decarbonization of transport and the introduction of environmentally friendly technologies. As part of the visit, it is planned to visit the ports of Aktau and Kuryk and get acquainted with the operation of the facilities. The purpose of the visit is to further develop cooperation in the field of maritime transport.
