The 6th Youth Sports Games in weightlifting have started in Almaty. 212 athletes from 17 regions of the country are taking part in this large-scale competition held once in four years.
Yedige Emberdy, who defended the honor of Astana, competed in the weight category up to 81 kg and won the silver medal after lifting 334 kg (149+185) in the double competition.
Another athlete from the capital will compete in the Youth Sports Games. will continue until March.
