Belgrade, 13 May 2025 - Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Serbia Madi Atamkulov met with the Minister of Domestic and Foreign Trade of Serbia Jagoda Lazarević.

During their discussions, Ambassador Atamkulov extended a warm invitation to Minister Lazarević to attend the Astana Forum, emphasizing its importance as a platform for maintaining active dialogue between Serbia and Kazakhstan. The forum is recognized as the largest regional gathering focused on political and economic cooperation, offering valuable opportunities for strengthening bilateral relations.

The meeting also addressed the current state and future prospects of trade relations between Serbia and Kazakhstan. Participants highlighted the necessity of implementing agreements aimed at increasing and diversifying trade volume, which were initially announced during the official visit of Kazakh President Kasym-Jomart Tokayev to Serbia in November 2024.

Minister Lazarević confirmed her participation in the Astana Forum and expressed her department’s ongoing commitment to developing and facilitating trade relations with Kazakh companies.

She also underscored the importance of a carefully crafted agenda for the upcoming fourth meeting of the Intergovernmental Kazakh-Serbian Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation, aiming to further enhance bilateral collaboration.
