Brasilia, May 15, 2025 - Ambassador Bolat Nussupov met with Peter von Bohlen-Halbach, President of the Brazilian Climate Institute, at the Embassy of Kazakhstan in Brazil.

During the meeting, the parties discussed opportunities to establish cooperation in the field of environmental protection and climate protection.

In turn, Peter von Bohlen-Halbach familiarized the Ambassador with the activities of the Climate Institute to implement the goals and objectives of the climate conference “COP30” in Brazil together with the Brazilian states of Santa Catarina, Paraiba, Parana and Mato Grosso do Sul, as well as invited as a guest of honor and speaker to the panel session “Route to COP30” of the National Congress of Municipalities of Brazil “MARCHA-2025”, which will be held on May 20 in Brasilia.

Background: The Brazilian Climate Institute “Instituto Climatico von Bohlen und Halbach” was established in September 2024 and is considered to be the leading link between policy, industry and leading aid and climate protection organizations to achieve the goal of sustainable and effective climate protection. 

The aim of the institute is to investigate the balance between economic interests and effective climate protection as well as CO2 reduction.
