Residents of Teplichnoye village in the Kyzylzhar district of North Kazakhstan Region expressed their heartfelt gratitude to cadets of the National Guard Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan for their assistance during the spring floods.
Earlier this year, the region faced a severe flood situation. To support relief efforts and reinforce local dams, cadets of the Academy and servicemen of the National Guard were deployed to the area. Operations were carried out in coordination with the Department for Emergency Situations, the police, and local executive bodies.
More than 250,000 sandbags were prepared, with 800 cadets working in four shifts around the clock.
– For our cadets, taking part in flood response was a serious test of both personal strength and professional readiness. They demonstrated resilience, discipline, and a strong willingness to help in a difficult moment, – stated the Head of the National Guard Academy, Artur Tokushev.
Thanks to the coordinated efforts and dedicated labor of the guardsmen, the village's residential homes and infrastructure were safeguarded from flooding. Their contribution did not go unnoticed. At the end of the flood response operation, the residents of Teplichnoye thanked the cadets by presenting them with eight portable speakers as a token of appreciation for their help in overcoming the natural disaster.
– These young men worked tirelessly – day and night, in rain and wind. Thanks to their efforts, we got through this ordeal. We are deeply grateful to the Academy's leadership and every single cadet, – said Teplichnoye resident Ruslan Myrzabay.
It is worth noting that although the floods have subsided, the memory of this challenging time remains a powerful testament to solidarity, courage, and mutual support.
