Astana, May 29, 2025 – On the margins of the Astana International Forum, Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan Murat Nurtleu held a meeting with Wiebke Schloemer, International Finance Corporation’s Director for Türkiye and Central Asia.

The parties exchanged views on strengthening cooperation and discussed opportunities for IFC’s active involvement in the implementation of socially significant investment projects in Kazakhstan.

The Kazakh Foreign Minister invited IFC to enhance its engagement in the development of special economic zones, underscoring their vital role in ensuring sustainable economic growth and attracting investments.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the interlocutors reaffirmed their mutual interest in expanding the partnership and agreed to continue exchanging information on promising areas and joint projects.
