Kazakhstan and Hungary Discuss Industrial Cooperation: Meeting with Hajdu Company

Budapest, May 29, 2025 — A meeting was held at the Embassy of Kazakhstan with Dr. Gyurkó Tünde, the representative of one of Hungary’s leading engineering companies, Hajdu Hajdúsági Ipari Zrt.

The discussion focused on the prospects for industrial cooperation between Kazakhstan and Hungary, including the development of trade relations and the potential localization of part of Hajdu’s production activities in Kazakhstan.

The Ambassador of Kazakhstan emphasized that manufacturing, including mechanical engineering and the production of equipment, is among the country’s priority sectors for industrial development. Kazakhstan is committed to technological advancement and remains open to cooperation with international companies that possess modern expertise and experience.

“Kazakhstan is open to industrial partnerships and technology transfer. We highly value Hajdu’s interest in our market and are confident that together we can implement mutually beneficial projects,” the Ambassador noted.

The Kazakh side presented the key elements of the country’s investment climate, including support measures for foreign companies, the availability of infrastructure sites, a stable regulatory environment, and the potential to access regional markets. Special attention was drawn to institutional support mechanisms for investors, including those provided by Kazakh Invest.

Dr. Gyurkó Tünde expressed her gratitude for the warm welcome and reaffirmed the company’s interest in expanding cooperation. She confirmed that a visit by Hajdu representatives to Kazakhstan is planned in the near future to conduct more detailed discussions and assess possible forms of the company’s presence in the country.

As a result of the meeting, both sides agreed to continue working-level consultations involving relevant institutions and potential partners.
