Kazakh circus artists Jasmina Alshynbayeva and Avelina Guzey won the highest award — the Golden Crown — at the XI International Circus Art Festival "Circus Princess-2025", which was held in Saratov (Russia).
Since 2005, the prestigious forum has been gathering the best representatives of the circus scene from all over the world, emphasizing the importance of women's contribution to the development of circus art. This year, participants from 13 countries, including the USA, Mexico, China, Vietnam, Spain and Kazakhstan, presented their performances at the arena of Russia's oldest circus, the Saratov State Circus named after the Nikitin Brothers.
Kazakhstan was represented by the artists of the Kazakh State Circus — Jasmina Alshynbayeva, the successor of the famous circus dynasty, and Avelina Guzey, a talented aerial gymnast. Under the direction of the director Zarina Tapalova, they showed the audience for the first time a number in the genre of "double ring" called "Air Sphere".
An exciting performance combining strength, grace and impeccable technique made a strong impression on the international jury and the audience, immediately securing the main award of the festival for the artists.
"We've been preparing this number for several months, honing every move to perfection. It was an exciting moment — the premiere, the new stage, the international jury. But as soon as we were under the dome, excitement turned to inspiration. It was our moment," Jasmina Alshynbayeva shared her impressions.
The victory of the Kazakhstani gymnasts is not only a personal triumph of the artists, but also an important achievement of the entire national circus art, confirming the high professional level and creative potential of Kazakhstan on the world stage.
