Goods for personal use, depending on the criteria for attribution and the method of transportation of such goods, transported by individuals through the customs territory of the Eurasian Economic Union, are regulated by Decision No. 107 of the Council of the Eurasian Economic Commission dated December 20, 2017 "On certain issues related to goods for personal use", as well as in accordance with the Order of the Minister of Finance No. 250 of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated March 31, 2015 "Criteria for the classification of goods transported by individuals across the Customs border of the Customs Union, to goods for personal use."

Thus, the above–mentioned norms established by law indicate that individuals can import duty-free goods for personal use by air transport worth no more than 10,000 euros and weighing no more than 50 kg, by other means of transport and on foot - worth no more than 500 euros and 25 kg. In case of exceeding the established norms, it is required to pay customs duties at the rate of 30% of the cost, but not less than 4 euros per kilogram of weight in terms of exceeding the cost and / or weight norms.

Goods for personal use sent in international mail with a value of no more than 200 euros and a weight of no more than 31 kg., and in case of exceeding the established norm, payment is required in the form of a cumulative customs payment at the rate of 15% of the cost, but not less than 2 euros per kilogram of weight in terms of exceeding the cost and / or weight norms.
