As part of the republican campaign "Kazakhstan - a family without violence", a meeting of the district commission on women's affairs and family and demographic policy was held in Almaly district of Almaty.
The meeting focused on the prevention of domestic violence, inter-agency cooperation and social assistance to victims.
The meeting was attended by representatives of the police, social services, education and healthcare, experienced psychologists and specialists from the crisis center.
During the meeting, issues of developing effective mechanisms for providing assistance to victims of domestic violence and ensuring the harmonious actions of relevant structures were discussed.
The need to implement violence prevention programs, practical assistance from non-governmental organizations, and increased efforts to inform the public was on the agenda.
Following the meeting, it was decided to hold such interdepartmental meetings regularly, expand work on legal translation, and organize training seminars for specialists working with vulnerable groups.
