Veszprém, June 10, 2025 — The Ambassador of Kazakhstan, Mr. Abzal Saparbekuly, visited the production facility of «CoreComm Group», one of Hungary’s leading developers and manufacturers of solutions in solar energy and critical infrastructure power supply.

During the visit, the Ambassador held talks with CEO Mr. Balázs Horváth, discussing the prospects for localizing «CoreComm’s» technologies in Kazakhstan and the company’s potential involvement in renewable energy (RES) projects across the country.

Mr. Abzal Saparbekuly noted that Kazakhstan entered a new stage of its energy transition in 2025. As of today, the country operates 154 renewable energy facilities with a total capacity exceeding 3 GW. In 2024 alone, Kazakhstan generated 7.6 billion kWh of green energy. By 2027, an additional 6.7 GW of capacity is expected to be added through upcoming auctions. The national goal is to increase the share of RES to 15% by 2030 and at least 50% by 2050.

In this context, the Ambassador invited «CoreComm» to consider establishing an assembly facility or joint venture in Kazakhstan under the framework of the country’s Special Economic Zones, and to participate in auctions for the construction of solar power plants.

Particular interest was expressed in the company’s modular solar systems, integrated energy storage solutions, and uninterruptible power supply (UPS) technologies, which can support electrification of schools, medical institutions, and agro-industrial infrastructure in remote regions of Kazakhstan.

«CoreComm» leadership expressed interest in exploring the Kazakh market and emphasized the country’s favorable investment climate and strong government support for the renewable energy sector.

The parties agreed to continue technical consultations in coordination with Kazakh Invest, including preparations for a visit to Kazakhstan to assess infrastructure potential and explore suitable project sites.
