Dunavarsány, June 12, 2025. — H.E. Abzal Saparbekuly, Ambassador of Kazakhstan, visited the Hungarian company Aranynektár Kft and met with its Managing Director, Mr. Városi István. The meeting focused on the possibility of joint production and expansion of export channels for premium-quality Kazakh honey.

Hungary produces approximately 25,000 to 30,000 tons of honey annually and ranks among the top five honey-producing countries in the European Union. Aranynektár Kft is one of the leading honey processors and exporters in the country, with production capacity to process up to 4,000 tons of honey per year and export channels reaching EU markets, the Middle East, and Asia.

The Kazakh side proposed to consider the localization of production and processing of Kazakh honey within the country, followed by exports to the EU, Gulf countries, and Southeast Asia.

Kazakhstan has unique natural conditions for organic beekeeping and produces over 5,000 tons of honey annually. In early 2025, Kazakhstan and the European Union agreed on a veterinary certificate, officially opening the path for honey exports to EU markets.

Key investment incentives were also presented to the Hungarian partners, including tax and customs benefits, ready-made infrastructure in agro-industrial zones, and government support for logistics and energy supply.

Both sides agreed to continue discussions on potential cooperation. A visit by Aranynektár Kft to Kazakhstan is expected for a more detailed market study and engagement with local partners.
