Service members of the National Guard of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan have joined the challenge launched by the beloved national icon and internationally acclaimed Kazakhstani artist, Dimash Kudaibergen — showing their support for national art and cultural heritage.

The video featuring the Guardsmen became a true highlight of the challenge: in it, the service members perform a dance that blends elements of military drill with smooth choreography. The movements are performed with a deep sense of rhythm, respect for the music, and a distinctly national style.

This initiative highlights that military service and culture can go hand in hand, nurturing a sense of pride and unity within society.

“For us, this wasn’t just about participating in an online flash mob,” said Asel Mukhanbetzakir, one of the participants. “We wanted to show that Guardsmen not only strictly follow regulations but also sincerely love their country, its music, and its natural beauty.”

The flash mob was inspired by the premiere of Dimash’s new music video “Tau içinde” (“In the Mountains”), based on lyrics by Saken Seifullin — a renowned Kazakh poet, writer, and one of the founders of modern Kazakh literature.

The National Guard’s performance became one of the most striking and unconventional entries in the flash mob, emphasizing that art knows no boundaries — neither in uniform nor in rank.
