Bangkok, June 13, 2025 – Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Thailand Arman Issetov met with Deputy Director of the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) Chiravadee Khunsub. During the meeting, the parties discussed current issues of bilateral cooperation and exchanged views on the prospects for expanding cooperation between the two countries in tourism and the hotel business.
Taking into account the growing interest of the Thai people in new travel destinations and the strategic position of Kazakhstan as a «gateway» to Central Asia, Ambassador Issetov emphasized the need to intensify joint efforts of the relevant tourism departments «Kazakhtourism» and TAT to mutually promote tourism products in the markets of both countries. This may also be facilitated by the increase of the number of direct flights between Kazakhstan and Thailand.
In turn, Chiravadee Khunsub expressed interest in increasing the number of Kazakh tourists in Thailand due to their greater awareness of potential holiday destinations in the Kingdom and also informed about the plans of the Authority to organize a trip of a representative delegation to Kazakhstan in early July of this year in order to familiarize Kazakhstanis with new tourism products and destinations in Thailand.
